Kids can make a paper plate Mayflower craft while they learn about Thanksgiving history. They make adorable decorations and are super easy to make!
We read Pete the Cat The First Thanksgiving Book to keep things fun and educational as he takes a voyage on the Mayflower to visit with the Native Americans. We love Book Inspired Crafts, so when we were done reading we grabbed a paper plate and headed to the craft table. My preschooler and toddler loved making their paper plate boat, complete with a sail they cut out themselves.
When you are done crafting don’t forget to make a Turkey Handprint Craft, play with a Turkey Sensory Bin, and Feed the Turkey with this printable activity.
