When your children don’t want to stop doing an activity and they are learning at the same time you have found the perfect combination (go ahead and give yourself a gold star).
The secret is the opening underneath the turkey’s beak that you make (don’t worry, it’s all included in the directions). This lets children slide the alphabet cards into the turkey’s mouth. It looks like the turkey is actually eating…it’s irresistible not to feed it all the food cards from letters A-Z.

The activity comes with step-by-step DIRECTIONS for you to prepare and do the activity, keeping your life easy.
Using the TURKEY template from the activity pack, you can make the “gobbling” turkey. Don’t forget to cut an opening underneath the mouth so children can feed the turkey.
The ALPHABET CARDS have food items for each letter of the alphabet. For example, A is for apple, B is for Banana, and C is for carrot. Each alphabet card also has the uppercase and lowercase letter, and the name of the object for beginning reading skills.
The activity also comes with bonus WORKSHEETS that can enhance learning, but are also totally optional. The worksheets are made for fine motor skill practice and pre-writing skills. Children can color or trace each letter as they feed it to the turkey.
