Kids will learn about the Mayflower with this FUN history activity. Print the map and children can color and label the Mayflower voyage to Canada and America.
I love Thanksgiving because we can learn about history while celebrating the yummiest holiday of all. Grab a copy of our free printable map showing the famous voyage across the Atlantic that the Pilgrims took in 1620. The map comes in two versions because I like to give you options. The first version has the Mayflower’s beginning location (Plymouth, England) and its ending location (Plymouth Rock, Massachusetts) only, while the second version includes the stop in between (Newfoundland, Canada). So depending on where you are or how many locations and cut and paste labels your student can handle will help you decide which map is best for you.
Mayflower Voyage Color and Label Map
When we were studying the Mayflower we also made a paper plate craft using our Mayflower Template that includes the different decks of the Mayflower. My kids also really enjoyed this video of the Inside of the Mayflower and Bet You Didn’t Know: Thanksgiving videos by the History Channel.
After reviewing our map and talking about the Mayflower voyage the kids were able to review what they learned with this easy cut and paste activity (keep reading to get your free copy below).
