Now that Easter is over it’s time to get back to spring crafts with the kids. We made Stained Glass Flowers using toilet paper rolls and tissue paper. They are simple to make and so pretty when they are done.

I can’t believe April is almost over. This week we are going to do some “April shower” crafts before we have to wait a whole year for the chance again, stick around.

Supplies:
Empty toilet paper or paper towel rolls
Tissue paper cut in 3″x3″ squares
White glue
Paper clips
Paint brush

Directions:
1.  Cut tissue paper into 3″x3″ squares. You will need 1 piece of tissue paper for each flower pedal.

2.  Cut paper rolls in 1 inch increments. You will need 5-7 pieces depending on how many pedals you want for your flower.

3.  Use paint brush to brush glue on the sides of the paper roll pieces then take a piece of tissue paper and cover the tissue paper roll. We found that setting the toilet paper roll on top of the tissue paper and then wrapping the sides was the easiest. We also watered down our glue to make it easier to apply. Once you have 5-7 pieces covered set them to dry.

4.  Put a dot of glue on the side of the paper roll and glue two pieces together. Secure with a paperclip to hold it together while it dries. Continue until you have glued all pieces together. Once the glue has dried you can remove the paper clips and your done. If you want you could tape a piece of string on the back to hang them up.

We loved looking at our flowers on the window, they added some nice bright color to our home.

  1. It’s a great idea to grow creativity among the children. My lovely sweety also love to make different items through used up toilet paper roll. I must share this flower crafts making ideas at the next vacation. I am sure she will love to make it. Thanks for sharing!!
