The Fourth of July is quickly approaching so to decorate your walls with some sparkly red, white, and blue make an easy firework Handprint Craft with your kids! It will look adorable and add some glitter to your holiday!
We used the colors red, white, and blue for a patriotic look, but fireworks come in all sorts of colors, you can use any color you and your kiddo would like.
Turn this into a family keepsake art project by using one piece of paper and have each child add their handprint. Since fireworks come in all sizes you could even have mom and dad make a handprint too.
Last week we shared our Cupcake Liner Firework Craft, so now we have two new Patriotic decorations this year.
Patriotic Handprint Firework Craft
Supplies:
- Black craft paper
- Glue
- Glitter
- Paint
Directions:
1. Cover your child’s hand with paint and have them make handprints on their craft paper.
2. Once the handprints dry, use the glue to make firework bursts, sprinkle the glue with glitter, shake off the extra glitter, and set aside to dry.
I was so excited to hang our fireworks on the wall that I forgot to let them dry, when I came back we had some fireworks dripping onto the floor…eeek, lol 🙂 I think it added to the 4th of July celebration, but you can learn from my mistake, and let the glue dry completely before hanging them up. I hope you have a Happy 4th of July!
