We love making paper plate crafts and cupcake liner crafts, so this time we combined the two to make a cute little owl that worked perfectly into our nocturnal animal activities. Since the supplies only need a little folding, cutting, and gluing this craft is quick and easy to make for all ages (my Little Dragon, age 2) even set his cars down to craft with us-yay!
This has to be one of my kid’s favorite crafts (as of recently) because they keep playing with them. It’s so adorable to watch as they wave their little owls around in the air and say “whoooo, whooo.” I had no idea that when we pulled out the paper plates and cupcake liners to craft, that we would end up with a toy too :).

1. Paint the paper plate brown and let it dry.
2. To make the eyes glue a googly eye inside each of the small cupcake liners, and glue them to the paper plate.
3. Fold the regular sized cupcake liners in half and glue them to the sides of the paper plate.
4. Cut a triangle from the orange paper and glue it to the owl for the beak and the craft is done.
