We like making homemade paint because it gives us a new way to be creative and oftentimes is cheaper to make at home than to purchase. Check out our Soap Bubble Paint or Puffy Sidewalk Chalk which are also kid favorite paint recipes we have created.

The Glow in the Dark puffy paint works without a blacklight. All you have to do is expose the paint to light, turn off the light, and it will glow! We used a flashlight to really activate the paint. You could also turn on a black light for a continual glow.
We had a ton of fun making Glow in the Dark Ghosts with our puffy paint. We left our paint white, but you could add a little put of food coloring to give your puffy paint a bit of color. (It will not change the color of the glow).

DIY Glow in the Dark Paint
SUPPLIES:
- Cheap Shaving Cream
- Glow in the Dark Puffy Paint
- Small bowl
- Measuring cup
- Spoon
DIRECTIONS:
Mix 1/4 cup shaving cream and 1/4 cup glow-in-the-dark puffy paint together.
Before you paint you can check and make sure you have the right amount of “glow” in your paint by holding it to the light and then turning off the lights. If it glows you are ready to paint, if it doesn’t glow add more puffy paint into your mixture and stir it together. Repeat until your paint reaches the desired brightness.
Use the paint right away because the shaving cream will deflate and the paint will no longer be puffy.
When painting, the more paint the better to get a nice “Glow.”
Let the paint dry completely.
