I always have a stack of boxes at my house because ordering online is so much easier than hauling the kids to the store. That and the stores have been closed lately (thanks-not thanks to covid). So, to put them to good use I grabbed some paintbrushes and threw together a car ramp to give my kiddos something to do.

When you need a quiet time activity, grab these Truck Heads/Tails Puzzles that you can print at home and let your kids match together and make these cardboard tube cars, then can even zoom down the ramp!

All my kids (age 9, 7, 1) had fun sending cars down the ramp but my littlest guy couldn’t get enough of it. The cars went up, down, and sometimes sideways as he played.

Tip: For added education, kids can learn about physics Force and Motion with this video by Kids Academy on Youtube and then try putting toy cars or balls of different weights and sizes down the ramp to see which goes the farthest.

Lay the rectangle box down and cut two of the sides to make the ramp. Tape the bottom of the ramp down and paint the ramp black. If you wanted to you could cut off the sides, but we chose to leave ours on to make it easier for the cars to stay on the ramp.

I cut two of the flaps off the second box so that it would sit flat on the ground.
