My little preschooler (Little Pup, age 2) loved sitting beside his older siblings (Little Dragon, age 8 and Little Tiger, age 10) making the same craft (he never likes to feel left out).
While your crafting, add some firework science to your day with this Water and Oil Fireworks activity!
Why are Egg Carton Crafts Awesome?
Crafting with egg cartons is awesome because they give dimension to crafts, letting them pop off the page, and come to life! Another reason why crafting with egg cartons is awesome because you are teaching kids how to recycle and reuse things they have. Not to mention it also makes crafting inexpensive with one less thing you have to purchase!

Directions:
For your convenience, you can watch our Video Tutorial and the directions can be printed towards the bottom of the post.
Use the paint and paintbrush or oil pastels to make the background of your craft by painting firework trails and sparkles. Your kiddos can get extra creative and use different colors and make different shapes and patterns.
Use scissors to cut out the egg cups from the egg carton. Depending on how thick your egg carton is, your kiddo may need help with this part.
Now, turn the egg carton cup into a firework by cutting the edges. I told my kids to make points, by cutting out triangles.
Use the paint and paintbrush to give your firework color and paint the inside and outside of the cups.
Glue the egg carton fireworks onto the background.
Optional: Use the glue and add some glitter to the craft to make the firework artwork really shine!
