Make colorful fireworks that seem to burst off the page using cupcake liners for an easy Patriotic Craft for the Fourth of July or New Year’s Day.  Kids can choose to use red, white, and blue, or any colorful selection of cupcake liners to craft with. We kept this craft mess free, but you could always add glitter to make those fireworks shine!

Scissors
Glue
Black craft paper

Directions:

1.  Have your child flatten their cupcake liners and make cuts (fringe) on the ribbed part of the liner. We stopped cutting when we reached the inside circle of the cupcake liner.

Little Dragon loved smashing his cupcake liners. I fringed them for him because he is still too young for scissors. Little Tiger fringed like crazy! You can see how many little cuts she made on her pink and green fireworks.

2.  Glue the cupcake liners to the piece of paper. Once they are dry they are ready to display :).
