The Cat in the Hat Printable Hat Craft

Supplies:
- Red and white craft paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Tape or stapler
- Hat Template (available to download below)
Directions:
Option: Instead of using craft paper, you can have your child draw the lines on their hat and use markers or paint to color the red stripes.
1. Print out the template. Cut out red stripes and glue them onto the template. Cut out the template in the shape of the hat.
2. Trace the brim of the hat on white craft paper, cut it out, and glue it onto the bottom of the hat.
3. Cut out long pieces of white paper and make a head band that will fit around your child’s head. Tape the head band together at the appropriate size, then attach the hat to the head band.
