Kids can decorate their own cornucopia this Thanksgiving with our free craft template that comes in a craft style, writing activity, or coloring page version.
Making a cornucopia craft with kids is so fun during Thanksgiving. While children create their own cornucopia, they can reflect on things they are thankful for. I provided two cornucopia templates: One is crafty version and the second one is for those who want to extend the craft into a writing activity and has lines for completing the sentence, “I am thankful for________.”

Download the free template and let the kids do the rest. Each cornucopia can be filled with fruits and vegetables that children can color and cut out. They will love sharing their cornucopia this Thanksgiving. When it is complete, they can hang it on the wall for all to see.
Here is my Little Dragon (age 7) completing his cornucopia. I have to admit my favorite part was when he completed the sentence, “I am thankful for,” with the word, “MOM!”

- Cornucopia Craft Template
- Light Brown Paper-affiliate link
- White paper
- Optional: Paper for the background
- Markers, crayons, colored pencils…
- Scissors
- Glue
DIRECTIONS:
You can watch our short craft tutorial video or continue to the directions below. You can also print the directions at the end of this post to make craft time easy!
To make the coloring page version print the template on white paper and let your child decorate it.
To make the craft or writing version print the cornucopia template out on brown paper. Print the fruit and vegetable template out on white paper.
Have your child decorate the fruits and vegetables with art supplies that you have. We used markers.
Have your child cut out the fruits and vegetables.
Optional: If you are using a piece of paper for the background have your child cut out their cornucopia and glue it to another piece of paper.
Have your child glue the fruits and vegetables on. They may want to arrange them first, and then glue them once they have figured out how to best fill their cornucopia.
