Your kids are going to love phonics with this free printable Valentine’s Day activity. Simply print them out, make a few cuts, and let them play. As they match the puzzles together they will learn uppercase and lowercase letters and associate each letter with a picture like an apple for the letter A and a bee for the letter B.

Valentine’s Heart Letters and Phonics Puzzles
Print out the hearts. I printed mine on White Card Stock (affiliate link) to make them more durable.
Cut each puzzle out. If you have one, this is a great time to use your cutting board because all the cuts you need to make are straight.
Lay out the puzzle pieces and have the child match them. I like to give a few at a time to my son (age 4) to make sure not overwhelm him or make the activity too long because his attention span is much shorter. My daughter (age 6) can sit and match all the pieces together quickly. To add some additional learning in for her as she matched the pieces I had her write the letters down on a piece of paper.
