Kids can make lovely St. Patrick’s Day shamrock that will be sure to please any little leprechaun that may come to visit. This craft is super easy to make and is a perfect way to use up all those leftover doilies you have from Valentine’s day (or that are on sale right now at the store).

St. Patrick’s Day Shamrock Craft
Supplies:
4 Heart Doilies-affiliate link
Gold craft paint-affiliate link
Glue
Green paper
Directions:
Have child paint the doilies green and gold then set them aside to dry. Our doilies were pink on the front so we painted the backs and you can’t even tell. Now they are all about Valentine’s day in the back and St. Patrick’s Day in the front.
Have child glue the hearts together in the shape of a shamrock. As we crafted we talked about Ireland and made sure to point it out on our Wall Map-affiliate link. I try to sneak in geography and learning about cultures whenever I can. We also read Jamie O’Rourke and the Big Potato-affiliate link because who doesn’t like potatoes? 🙂
Have child cut out a shamrock stem from the green craft paper and glue it to the hearts. Once the glue is dry they are ready to hang on a window or wall.
