More about the FREE Rainbow Craft Template
The gold coins included in the craft template can be glued onto the craft or you can use a string to hang them from the rainbow like a mobile. It will look like gold coins are raining from the rainbow–Lucky!!! This makes the craft extra fun to hang up as a decoration because the coins will move with a little bit of wind.
The template includes a rainbow with Four-Leaf Clovers and clouds. Option 1 has the words, “Happy St. Patrick’s Day” and Option 2 is blank and can be left that way or children can be encouraged to write their own Irish saying on it.
Who Can Make this Craft?
Children of all ages can do this craft and it’s relatively mess-free since you don’t have to use paint or even glue. Toddlers and preschoolers will enjoy coloring the template just as much as older kids. Depending on your child’s age and skill level, young children will need assistance assembling their craft.
Little Pup (age 2) had fun coloring his rainbow with whatever colors suited his fancy while crafting alongside his older sister and brother. Little Dragon (age 8) and Little Tiger (age 10) colored their template in the color order of the rainbow.

Print the rainbow template out on white paper and print the gold coins out on yellow paper.
Use your coloring supplies (Markers, Crayons, Colored Pencils…) to color the rainbow and shamrocks. Kids can also color the gold coins if they would like.
Use the scissors to cut out the rainbow craft and gold coins.
Cut 6 pieces of yarn, wire, or string. They can be as long or as short as you want. The longer they are, the farther the gold coin will appear to have fallen from the rainbow.
Turn the rainbow upside down and tape each gold coin to a piece of yarn, then tape the yarn to the rainbow.
Now the Rainbow St Patricks Day craft is done. I hope it brings you luck straight from Ireland!
