Children can enjoy the holiday season making a cute reindeer craft using this easy print-and-make template and directions.
Kids will love making their own adorable reindeer craft this holiday season. Using the craft template, they can color their reindeer’s nose red or black. That way they can choose to make Rudolph with a red nose or make one of Santa’s other reindeer or a wild reindeer with a black nose. The template is large enough that the reindeer can be created and hung up all on its own or glued to a paper allowing more creativity to make a background. I love letting my kids create “background habitats and homes” for their crafts.

The craft template comes in two options for you to choose from. You can print the template for one craft at a time or print out the “class set” template to print lots of craft pieces on one piece of paper to make several reindeer at a time. This way you can utilize all your paper and have even more fun crafting. You could easily make all nine of Santa’s reindeer if you wanted to. Reindeer Christmas Craft
Supplies:
- Red or black pen
- White crayon
- Scissors
- Glue
- Craft paper: Brown, White, Light Brown •Blue or another color for the background (I used cardstock because it holds up to kids gluing better then some other types of paper)
Directions:
You can watch our short video tutorial or continue to the directions below.
Print the templates out on colored paper and cut the pieces out. (Brown: head, ears, body) (White: inside of ears, nose) (Light brown: antlers). Cut out the template pieces.
Glue the antlers to the top of the head.
Glue the inside of the ears (white) to the outside of the ears (brown).
Glue the ears to the top right and left of the head, below the antlers.
Glue the nose (white) to the head.
Use a marker to color the nose red or black.
To make the background, glue ripped pieces of white paper to the bottom of the paper to make snow.
Glue the reindeer’s body to the paper with the hooves touching the snow.
Glue the head to the body.
Use the white crayon to color the spots.
