Sometimes you just need a fun kid activity but have had no time to prep. Your in luck, because today I have an easy sensory art activity that can be ready in a flash and is great for multiple ages. Painting on a cloud of puffy white shaving cream is a wonderful experience!
My daughter (age 4, preschooler) and son (age 2, toddler) both enjoyed this activity in their own special way. My daughter (Little Tiger) carefully painted on her shaving cream watching the colors spread out and grow together while my son (Little Dragon) used his hands to paint, make designs, and move the shaving cream around. However your child chooses to do it, will be great. See all of our Weather Inspired Activities Here.
Painting on Clouds

Pin Me Please! 🙂 |
Supplies:
Paint (we used water color paint)
Tray
Shaving cream
Paint brush
Cup of water to rinse brush
Directions:
1. Squirt shaving cream on tray and let kids paint, create, and have fun!
This activity is a little messy so you may want to cover your table with a plastic table cloth and cover the kids in a painting smock. Since most of the activity consists of shaving cream, it is easy to clean up.
I think my little boys will love this! Simple fun. My favorite kind.
Hi Meg, Thanks so much, I really hope they do!
We love to use shaving foam in our projects. This is going on our summer bucket list. This post is going to be one of my features over on this weeks Family Frugal Linky.
This looks like a fun painting activity – I'm sure it will be a popular activity! Thanks for sharing on #ToddlerFunFriday
My son loves playing with shaving foam. This looks like loads of fun!! (Popping over from Toddler Fun Friday)

It really is fun (speaking from experience, lol 🙂 I had to get my own tray to join in with my kids!
