Description:
Let kiddos get their hands a little messy with this ocean inspired activity. Gather up things from the kitchen and let them free play. In my experience, anything messy keeps kids interested for a long time.

Skills: Sensory Play
Supplies:
Whipped cream
Blue sprinkles
Blue food coloring
Blue jello
Blue jelly (optional)
I bought really cheap blue generic jelly (Blue Zilla) on sale for .99 that I thought would be fun to do something with. It’s electric blue and looks more like an art supply, than food. It worked great for this activity adding one more element to our Ocean waves.
The jello was in powder form. With the sprinkles, it added some grainy texture like sand. Eventually it would dissolve and I would just sprinkle some more on.

Directions:
1. Place a blob of each supply onto a tray and let kiddos mix and wave. Add more supplies as needed to keep the colors swirling.
The whipped cream made our activity look foamy like the caps on ocean waves. |
She loved eating her activity…maybe I should call it an Ocean snack 🙂 |
