Have your child paint the pineapple shape yellow. My kids chose to add some orange paint to make their pineapple look “ripe.”
Use glitter glue to add texture to the pineapple. My kids made dots or diagonal lines. If you don’t have glitter glue you can wait for the paint to dry and use regular glue and sprinkle glitter. Another option would be using brown paint. It’s up to you and your little crafter.
Cut out brown hearts and glue them to the pineapple.
Paint your child’s hand green and add their handprint to the top of the pineapple. We practiced placing our hands in the right spot before we did the final one. The kids also decided to add two handprints to some of their pineapples to give them a fuller crown :).
Once the paint is dry they are ready to give to Mom. Little Dragon couldn’t wait for Mother’s Day and already gave his pineapple to his grandma. He was so proud. We hope your kids have just as much fun and are just as excited to give their Pineapple Cards to Mom and Grandma. Happy Mother’s Day!
