Whenever we visit the aquarium we always watch the jellyfish float around the tank with their funny jiggly bodies and tentacles–they are pretty mesmerizing! So to add to our Ocean Activities we made a Jiggling Jellyfish Craft using cupcake liners for colorful squiggly tentacles–which I have to say turned out super cute and were easy and relatively mess free to make! As kids make this craft they can practice scissor skills while learning about ocean animals and making the room look like an underwater adventure :).

Jiggling Jellyfish Cupcake Liner Craft :

Supplies:
Craft Paint-affiliate link (optional)
Tape
Scissors
Pen (optional)
Directions:
Cut bowl in half and have child decorate the outside to make the jellyfish body. We painted it, but you could always use markers, dot markers, or stickers for a less messy approach. Set aside to dry. I love how the bowl makes the jellyfish pop out!
Flatten a cupcake liner and have child cut it to make the jellyfish tentacles. They should start cutting at the outside edge and spiral inwards. The ridges on the cupcake liner give the jellyfish cool texture.
Tape tentacles to the inside of the bowl and draw a face on the jellyfish (if you would like).
Now you can hang your jellyfish up or let the kids wave it around in the air like it is swimming in the ocean. The tentacles will jiggle around.
