Little Tiger (preschooler) just graduated her first swim class and I am so proud of her, especially because on day one we left early after a huge tantrum and lots of tears. I have to admit there was bribing involved, but I felt it necessary because water safety is obviously very important! Graduating has given her a sense of independence in the pool, and yet even though she tries, she is still physically unable to keep her body afloat.

I am determined to take the kids swimming frequently this summer so she can continue to practice, but she is 4 and doesn’t want mommy to hold onto her like a baby. We tested out Stearns Puddle Jumpers Life Jackets  as an alternative to plastic water wings (which are not allowed at our local pool) and I have to tell you that the Puddle Jumpers Life Jacket is perfect! I know this post is sponsored, but it has no sway on my opinion and I have photos of our recent trip to the pool to prove just how nicely it worked.

The Puddle Jumpers Life Jacket was easy to get on and secured with a clip around the back so parents can be reassured that it won’t fall off. She loved being able to splash around the pool without having to hold onto me and it made my life easier because my son (age 2) clings to my hip (once he is 30 lbs I am going to pop him in his blue camouflage Puddle Jumper ASAP) .

My daughter was able to practice the new things she learned in swim class like floating on her back and tummy, moving her arms, and kicking her legs without any difficulty. At one point she asked for her Puddle Jumpers Life Jacket to be removed and as she realized she couldn’t play as freely or in the deep end of the pool, she quickly asked to have it put back on.

I wish I could have managed a picture of all 3 of us, but not wanting to get my camera wet or set up a tripod at the pool you will have to imagine us having lots of fun together. We were even able to play at all ends of the pool- yay! It was seriously the best pool trip the three of us have ever had!

We will be using our Puddle Jumpers Life Jackets all summer long and we are thrilled to be able to highly recommend it. I also should mention that Puddle Jumpers are Coast Guard Approved, another reason to trust that Puddle Jumpers with the safety of your kids.

I hope everyone has fun this summer! Remember to always supervise children around water to ensure their safety.
