So it’s officially fall and we are making sure we find time to get in our orange, brown, yellow, and red crafts inspired by the new season. Today we have a beautiful and simple leaf art activity plus 10 more fall art activities that are toddler friendly and great for older kids too. (I love it when my kids can do the same thing even though they are at two different stages in life). Also included in today’s post is the Love to Learn Linky, so keep reading and let’s start the fun! 🙂
We are so lucky to live close to beautiful mountains full of fall leaves. We recently went out on a trip to collect art supplies. Ms. Tiger found tons of fuzzy caterpillars and Mr. Tickles threw rocks into the river while I gathered, they where too busy having fun to think about art activities. 🙂

Fall Leaf Collage
Bright and colorful art collage using beautiful fall leaves.
Supplies:
Insert from 24 count of eggs or Cardboard
Leaves and nature finds
Paint
Paint brushes
Glue
Directions:
1.  Paint egg carton and glue on nature finds. It’s as simple as that!

The kids loved painting their egg carton. It offered so many spots to paint compared to a plain piece of paper.
My little artists!

I gave each kid a lid full of clear school glue, they dipped their leaves covering them completely with glue, then placed it on their carton. The clear glue made the leaves look pretty and shiny after it dried.

I think the egg carton adds some awesome depth to our fall art project.

  1. Hi Heather, thanks so much. I really love fall in Utah, but when winter hits I wish I was back in CA.

  2. Love simple crafts like this one! Good tip about using the clear glue; I'm sure that adds just a touch of shine to make it that much more special.

Thanks for linking up with the #SHINEbloghop!

    1. Hi Katie, thanks so much! I was pretty excited when the glue stayed shiny on the leaves after it dried.
