Kids will love decorating a paper craft that looks just like them, with this FREE All About Me Craft Template! Includes 4 templates and clothes!
This post is sponsored by Kohl’s. I was paid for this post and received the included Carter’s clothing as compensation for my time.
My kids definitely have their own style and love to pick out their own clothes to wear without input from mom. Clothes can say a lot about us and certainly kids want to give off the right first impression especially on the first day of school. For example, by looking at my daughter I can tell she is definitely a fan of pink and flowers. With this “What I Like to Wear” fashion craft, kids can decorate 1 of 4 templates in their favorite clothes to display their personal style for all to see. You can have the kids write their name on their craft when they are done and display it on the wall for all to see. What a fun way to get to know each other!
Since back to school time is coming soon we took a trip to Kohl’s with our coupon in hand (I just LOVE getting them in the mail) and found some clothing inspiration for our craft including things for the kids to wear that will work during the rest of this warm summer weather and last into fall–Be inspired by Kohl’s and Carter here. You don’t have to buy a ton of clothes to have lots of great outfits because Carters has mix-and-match shirts and bottoms. Check out all the tops and all the bottoms we picked out for Little Tiger.
Left to Right:Navy Tank Top, Polka Dotted Shirt, Pink Knit Sweater, Gorgeous Floral Shirt, Floral Tunic and Pink Pants
Left to Right: Pink and Gray Floral Pants 2pk, Navy Jeggings, Navy Lace Skirt, Mix and Match Tropic Shorts
The colors go together so we can pick out different combinations and she will never get tired because it all goes with pink–her favorite! By the way I should mention that since this shopping trip I’m starting to freak out that I am going to have a kindergartner… wasn’t she just born!?! 🙂
Little Dragon isn’t ready for school yet but his clothes come in larger sizes too (up to size 8) for those of you with bigger boys than my little guy. He loves his new camo outfits because he can match dad. With the Carters collection we are also able to mix and match his clothes which works out great because no matter what he picks out he always looks cute–maybe I’m just biased :).
Left to Right: Camo paints and Chambray Shirt, Plaid Button Down, Handsome Camo Sweatshirt and Jeans, Half-Pint Pullover and Pants
The best news is Kohl’s is having a sale where you can get $10 off your purchase of $40 or more from 8/1/2016-8/17/2016. Here is the promo code to add in when you checkout online: BTS10. So now that we know where we like to shop and what we like to wear, let’s get crafting!
What I Like to Wear Craft
Supplies:
What I Like to Wear Craft Template (available to download for free)
Craft paper
Markers
Scissors
Glue
Googly eyes (optional)
Fabric or Paint
Paint (We used watercolor paints)
Directions:
Print out the templates on craft paper.
Have child decorate the clothes. Check out Little Tiger’s–I did mention she likes pink right!?! 🙂
Have child decorate their person template with markers and googly eyes.
Have child glue the clothes onto their person or they could make several outfits and mix and match them with velcro (because we learned to match so well thanks to Carters and Kohl’s).
Have kiddos write their name on their craft and hang them up for all to see as a cute Back to School “Get to Know You” craft. My kiddos think it’s so fun to see their mini me craft hanging on the wall smiling back at them.
