What kid doesn’t like popping bubble wrap!?! To appeal to every kid’s natural desire we came up with a simple math activity for your preschooler or kindergartner to practice number recognition and counting. As a bonus they will also work on their fine motor skills. I included the printable I used for this activity so all you need to do is download, print, and let your child pop away as they learn!

The printable is for numbers 1-100 but you could always adapt the activity for higher numbers. At the time we did this activity Little Dragon was working on numbers 1-30. He loves counting things and could count beyond 30, but his number recognition needed some work so I added the printable number set to help him practice.

SUPPLIES:
- Bubble wrap (large bubbles)
- Number set
- Permanent marker
- Golf tee or another safe object to pop bubbles
DIRECTIONS:
Print out the number set and cut out the numbers.
Write the matching numbers on the bubble wrap. You could choose to write them in order or sporadically depending on your child’s current skill level. I wrote the numbers in order so every time he went to find one that he didn’t know where it was he would practice counting starting at 1. Needless to say he got in a lot of practice.
Have your child pick a number out, name the number, find the matching bubble and pop it.
