Materials

  • Empty tin cans (cleaned, labels removed opened with safety can opener ⭐)
  • Recycled Materials: Plastic lids, Bottle caps, Small containers, Cardboard pieces

  • Glue dots (They work great for kids) (or hot glue for adults or strong craft glue)
  • Optional: Permanent markers, Stickers, Potting soil, seeds or small plants

Instructions

  • Prepare the cans Clean out tin cans and remove labels. Use a safety can opener to ensure the edges are smooth and safe for kids.
    Design your robotInvite kids to plan their robot—Will it be silly, friendly, or futuristic? Lay out recycled materials and let them choose pieces for eyes, arms, and details.
    Decorate the can Use recycled materials, markers or stickers to add personality. Draw faces, buttons, or robot panels. Add googly eyes for extra fun!
    Plant your robot Fill the can with potting soil and add a small plant or seeds.
    Display and care Place your robot planter in a sunny spot and water as needed. Watch your “robot” come to life as the plant grows!
