Materials

  • Empty toilet paper rolls or paper towel rolls (cardboard tubes)
  • Tissue paper cut in 3"x3" squares
  • White glue
  • Paper clips
  • Paintbrush

Instructions

  • Cut tissue paper into 3"x3" squares. You will need 1 piece of tissue paper for each flower pedal.
  • Cut paper rolls in 1 inch increments. You will need 5-7 pieces depending on how many pedals you want for your flower.
  •  Use a paintbrush to brush glue on the sides of the paper roll pieces then take a piece of tissue paper and cover the tissue paper roll. We found that setting the toilet paper roll on top of the tissue paper and then wrapping the sides was the easiest. We also watered down our glue to make it easier to apply. Once you have 5-7 pieces covered set them to dry.
  •  Put a dot of glue on the side of the paper roll and glue two pieces together. Secure it with a paperclip to hold it together while it dries. Continue until you have glued all the pieces together. Once the glue has dried you can remove the paper clips and you're done. If you want you could tape a piece of string on the back to hang them up.
