Pineapple Popsicle Stick Craft for Kids (with Free Template & Video)

Color, cut, and glue the leaf template to the top of painted popsicle sticks to create your pineapple.

Materials

  • Pineapple leaf template
  • 4–5 Popsicle sticks per craft
  • Yellow paint
  • Green construction paper or cardstock
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Black marker
  • Optional: googly eyes, crayons, glitter, pom-poms for decoration

Instructions

  • Download and Print the Template Grab your free printable pineapple leaf template and print it on green paper or color it in yourself with green marker!
  • Create the Pineapple Base Line up 4–5 popsicle sticks vertically to form the pineapple's body. Optional: Carefully use scissors to cut two popsicle sticks shorter (adult only). Glue a horizontal stick across the back to hold them together. Once it dries, paint the front yellow (or glue on yellow paper).
  • Cut Out the Leaves Use the template to cut out the leafy pineapple top. You can cut one big set or layer a few for extra texture and volume! Glue the leaf to the top of the popsicle sticks.
  • Add a Face or Texture (Optional) Let kids personalize their pineapple with a smiley face, drawn crisscross texture, or fun accessories like pom-poms or sunglasses.

Notes

  • Add glitter to the leaves or a name tag to use as a summer party place card
  • Make several and string them together for a tropical banner
  • Use smaller sticks and mini cutouts for a classroom bulletin board display
  • Add a magnet to the back for a fridge craft
