Instructions

  • Step 1: Paint the Ice Cream Cone

Print the free cone template and cut it out.
Paint the cone with brown craft paint. Before the paint dries, drag a fork across the surface to create crisscross lines that look like a waffle cone. Let it dry.

Step 2: Create the Melted Ice Cream

Using a paintbrush or popsicle stick, scoop and spread the puffy paint onto a sheet of paper above where the cone will go.
Instead of making neat scoops, let the paint spread and drip to look like melting ice cream. Kids can swirl colors together or layer different flavors for a giant sundae effect.

    Step 3: Add Toppings

Before the paint dries, decorate the ice cream with fun toppings.

The fluffy paint helps hold many of the toppings in place while it dries.

Step 5: Finish the Ice Cream

Glue the waffle cone underneath the melted paint and finish it off with a red pom-pom cherry on top.
Now your colorful melted ice cream masterpiece is ready to display!
