Materials

  • Butterfly template (wings, body, antennae)
  • Paper or cardstock

Instructions

  • Print and cut the templat ePrint the butterfly template and cut out the wings, body, and antennae. Younger kids may need help with cutting.
    Optional: Cut pieces of pipe cleaner for kids to use for the antennae.
    Assemble the butterfly Glue the butterfly body in the center of the wings.
    Add the antennae Glue the antenna pieces to the top of the butterfly’s head.
    Optional: If you are using pipe cleaners, they may need to be taped or stapled to the butterfly.
    Decorate the butterfly Kids can decorate the butterfly wings using markers, stickers, glitter, or any craft supplies you have on hand.
    Let dry and display Allow the butterfly to dry, then display it on its own or add it to a background scene.
