Banana Santa Healthy Christmas Kid Treat

Make Santa Bananas, a healthy and cute Christmas snack for kids.
Total Time 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • Banana
  • Strawberry with Stem Cut Off
  • Popsicle Stick/Wooden Skewer/or Paper Straw (We used paper straws for added color and cuteness)
  • White Frosting
  • Black Sugar Pearls (Ball Sprinkles)
  • Multi Colored Pearls (Ball Sprinkles)
  • Optional: Small Marshmallow
  • Optional: Shredded Coconut
  • Optional: Christmas Sprinkles

Instructions

  • Prep:
Place the banana up and down on a cutting board. Make horizontal slices to make a 3 inch piece of banana. If your banana is large enough you could get 3 pieces to use.
Tip: Use the straightest parts of the banana to make it easier to put on your stick so it doesn’t pop through the side.
Carefully slide the banana on your stick. Try to keep it in the middle of the banana.
Cut the stem off the strawberry.
    Assembling The Santa
Slide the strawberry on top of the banana with the pointed end of the strawberry facing up like the top of Santa’s hat.
  • Decorating Santa:
Use the white frosting to draw a line across the bottom of the hat and the bottom of the banana. You can also add a dab of frosting on the top of the strawberry with a mini marshmallow to make the “poof” on Santa’s hat.
Optional: Put shredded coconut on the frosting to look like the fluffy stuff on Santa’s clothes.
To make Santa’s eyes push two black ball sprinkles into the middle of the banana. You could also use candy eyes.
To make Santa’s cherry nose, push a red ball below the eyes.
If you have any other Christmas sprinkles, now is the time to decorate all you want.
