Instructions

  • Print out the Mother's Day Pineapple Template. (I like to use cardstock when the kids are painting)
  • Have your child paint the pineapple shape yellow. My kids choose to add some orange paint to make their pineapple look "ripe."
  • Use the glitter glue to add texture to the pineapple. My kids made dots or diagonal lines. If you don't have glitter glue you can wait for the paint to dry and use regular glue and sprinkle glitter. Another option would be using brown paint. It's up to you and your little crafter.
  • Cut out brown hearts and glue them to the pineapple.
  • Paint your child's hand green and add their handprint to the top of the pineapple. We practiced placing our hand in the right spot before we did the final one. The kids also decided to add two handprints to some of their pinapples to give it a fuller crown :).
  • Once the paint is dry they are ready to give to Mom. Little Dragon couldn't wait for Mother's Day and already gave his pineapple to his grandma. He was so proud. We hope your kid's have just as much fun and are just as excited to give them to their own Pineapple Mom's and Grandma's. Happy Mother's Day!
