Materials

  • Craft paper (I like using Cardstock Paper for all our crafting because the color is bright and it holds up to children gluing)
  • Googly eyes
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Owl craft template

Instructions

  • Cut out the craft template and trace the pieces onto your colored paper. This way you can use different colors for each piece of the owl. If you are using the classroom templates you can print the template directly on different colored paper so your students wouldn't need to trace and cut out the template.
  • Cut out the owl pieces from the colored pieces of paper.
  • Glue the owl together adding the wings, beak, and eyes to the body. We used googly eyes, but I also included a template for eyes but they are small pieces and may be difficult for some children to cut out.
  • Optional: Glue the owls onto a folded piece of paper to make a card. This is when those adorable owl sayings would be perfect to write on the card."Owl be yours," "Your a hoot," and "Guess hoo loves you?"

Optional: Glue the owls onto a piece of paper and make a picture with paper, markers, or other craft supplies that you have.
