It’s all about the letter M today. I was inspired by the book If You Give a Moose a Muffin and created a letter M craft and 2 muffin games using our free printable (The printable would also work well for cupcake activities). As part of our M activities we made muffins but the pictures accidentally were deleted when I had some computer issues…so just imagine some yummy muffins, and then have fun making your own with your kiddos as the perfect ending to our M is for Moose activities. So let’s get started ๐

Objectives: Letter M recognition, creativity
Age Group: Preschool
Supplies:
Brown craft paper
Scissors
Glue
Directions:
1. Print out the moose pieces on brown paper.
2. Cut the pieces out.
3. Use the long rectangles to form the sides of the letter M, and the smaller pieces for the middle “v” of the letter m.
4. Decorate the letter M with the moose pieces and glue them on.

Supplies:
2 Different colored counting markers (We used glass gems. Puff balls, candy, and other small objects would work perfect)

Directions:
1. Role the dice and count out one color of markers using the number line on the top of the muffin page. Decorate the muffin with the markers.
2. Role the dice again and count out the second color of markers and place them on the number line. Decorate the muffin with the markers.
3. Count out the total number of markers. (We placed ours on our counting mat) Then play again.
Age Group: Tot School
Directions:
1. Place 1-10 markers on the muffin
2. Have child count the markers by placing them on the number line at the top of the muffin page. Repeat.
