This month we have been using Halloween themed clip cards to help master counting, number recognition, and subitizing. The kids love using clip cards because it feels like a game to them and clipping the cards is perfect for strengthening hands and fine motor skills!

Halloween Clip Cards: Numbers 1-20

The clip cards can be used over and over again. I suggest starting out with a small amount of cards and clothespins (or Chip Clips-affiliate link) so you don’t overwhelm the kiddos, 20 cards looks like a lot!

My son (Little Dragon, age 2) counts the pictures and then we find the number together and clip the card.

My daughter (Little Tiger, age 4) is able to do the activity independently. I give her a set of cards and she clips them. If she is unsure she will make a guess and then ask for help.

  1. Thanks for the great number clip cards. I got some spooky eyeball clips on sale after last Halloween and was looking for a fun activity to use them with. Your generosity saved me a lot of work! Can’t wait for fall to come to use them!

  2. Katie, thank you so much for these! They are adorable – and perfect for playing with my grandkids! I am going to mount them on Halloween card stock and use them for each child from age 2-4 !

    1. Hi J, Thanks so much and what a great idea to mount them on cute Halloween paper! I hope your grandkids like them!
