It finally happened…the new Disney Inside Out Movie released and we couldn’t be more excited! We ran to Target to pick it up then went home and had fun crafting a cereal box into a homemade snack tray that looks like the control panel from the movie…where is Joy to start pushing buttons and take control? 🙂 The craft took 10 minutes or less to make and lets kids feel like they are part of the movie.

We found the movie at Target in the front of the store as well as in the movie section close to the electronics. The cool thing about buying it as Target is it comes with an extra bonus disc. My kids were thrilled to have two things to watch from one movie box. While we were at Target we stopped by the snack isle and picked up some cereal, popcorn, fruit snacks, and drinks then headed home and started crafting as we waited for dad to get home for family movie night.

Inside Out Movie Craft

Supplies:
Empty cereal box (we used Target’s 20.25 oz box of Toasted Cinnamon Squares)
2 pieces of gray craft paper
Circle color coding stickers or cut out paper circles
Scissors
Glue
Pen
Tape
Small containers for food

Directions:
1.  Fold the gray pieces of paper in half (hamburger style). Take one of the pieces of paper and round 2 edges. Cut both of the pieces of paper in half. You will end up with two pieces with rounded corners and two rectangular pieces.

 2.  To make the top of the control panel arrange the paper on the cereal box with the rounded edges on the outside and one rectangular piece on the middle. Decide where you want the snacks to be, trace the containers on the paper and cut around the line. Place the control panel on top of the cereal box and trace around the holes, then cut the cereal box so the containers can fit inside.

3.  Turn the paper over and tape the top of the control panel together. Here comes the fun part, have kids use stickers to decorate their control panel with lots of colorful buttons just like in the movie!

4.  Glue the top of the control panel to the cereal box, place containers in the right spot, fill with yummy snacks, and enjoy watching Inside Out together.

Pin me please! 🙂

My kids loved all the different emotions and personalities. Little Tiger thought Sadness was so funny and is planning to dress up like Disgust next Halloween. What characters from the movie do you like the best? If you haven’t seen it yet, go watch and come back and share 🙂
You can find Inside Out online at Target here, and connect with Target on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram

Thanks for crafting with us today and have a happy movie night!
